White House Subs
Two Half Subs — ~$17–19
Atlantic City's most legendary sub shop, open since 1946. Frank Sinatra ate here. The Beatles ate here. You should too. A half Italian or cheesesteak sub is a full meal for one person — two halves come in well under $20. The bread is baked fresh and delivered up to 10 times a day.
Tony's Baltimore Grill
Pasta or Pizza for Two — ~$18–20
Atlantic City's oldest Italian restaurant, open since 1927. Spaghetti with meatballs runs about $10.55 — two pasta dishes is a proper dinner under $22 with drinks. A cheese pizza starts at $13.95 and easily feeds two. Old-school jukebox, 24-hour bar, and a legacy that outlasted every casino in town.
Pho Sydney
Two Bowls of Pho — ~$15–18
Authentic Vietnamese just off Atlantic Ave, walking distance from Boardwalk Hall and Caesars. The pho broth is the real deal — rich, aromatic, slow-cooked — and reviewers consistently say it rivals NYC's best. Also solid: bánh mì, shrimp summer rolls, and lemongrass beef. Large tables, fast service, full Vietnamese menu.
Pancho's Mexican Taqueria
Tacos for Two — ~$12–16
Open-kitchen taqueria on Arctic Ave with house-made cornmeal tortilla shells — widely considered the best Mexican in Atlantic City. Al pastor, carnitas, and lengua (cow tongue) are the moves. Huge tacos, great sauces (spicy ones are no joke), and prices that make the casino food court look embarrassing.
Bill's Gyro Souvlaki
Two Gyro Sandwiches — ~$14–16
A beloved boardwalk institution near the Hard Rock. Seasoned lamb-beef gyros with tzatziki, stuffed into warm pita — locals and repeat visitors swear by this spot every single trip. Yardy Real Jamaican Food
Jerk Chicken for Two — ~$16–18

On-boardwalk pizza with big slices, fresh pies, and a bonus menu that includes empanadas and elote — rare finds on the Atlantic City boardwalk. A.C. Sandwiches
Bánh Mì + Bubble Tea for Two — ~$14–16
Vietnamese sandwich café on Atlantic Ave — one of AC's more unexpected finds. Crispy bánh mì rolls packed with fresh herbs, pickled daikon, and your choice of fillings, paired with house bubble tea. Two sandwiches and two drinks for around $14–16. A great palate-cleansing counterpoint to the boardwalk's heavier fare.
Gourmet Restaurant & Sweets
Indian Plates for Two — ~$16–20
Atlantic City's go-to for authentic Indian cuisine — curries, biryanis, and vegetarian plates at prices that make the casino food court look criminal. One of AC's best-kept secrets on Atlantic Ave. Order two rice plates or a curry with naan and you're in business for around $18–20. The sweets side of the menu is a bonus.
Forno Roman Pizza
Two Slices + Arancini — ~$14–18

Roman-style thick, crispy crust with inventive toppings: curl pepperoni, burrata, fresh tomatoes, quality sausage. The arancini (fried risotto balls) are a must-order. Housemade gelato to finish. Direct boardwalk access, indoor and outdoor seating, open daily from 9am.

Celebrity Corner
Boardwalk Breakfast Special for Two — $12–14
Right on the boardwalk at 3119 Boardwalk — the Celebrity Special (eggs, hash browns, and toast) runs $6 per person, making two breakfasts with ocean views one of the best deals in AC. Stick to water from the tap (not the bottled water they'll offer) and note they auto-add 18% gratuity for two guests, so factor that in. Counter service, casual, fast. Best breakfast deal on the boardwalk.
